Naturalistic Observation
This is the part of me that reflects romantic daydreams of living as a type of naturalist. I'm fascinated by the beauty inherent in the details in natural things. I want to get up close to them. I want to dive into them, and mingle there. I want to commune with them. But, there's nothing truly of science here. It's about what come naturally into focus through my camera, through my ordinary life. That's why its observational, rather than a more traditional naturalist who goes out into the world looking for natural curiosities. I'm a lazy naturalist maybe, and a fairly uninformed one. I'm a witness, a lay observer. A lookyloo. A nosey neighbor. A voyeur.
